DIY: Pumpkin & Corn Candles
Share
Who doesn’t get giddy about a theme? Fall brings with it one of the most festive themes to embrace—and you can easily bring some fall fun to your tables by dressing up your Amazing Flameless Candles for the season. These two cute DIY projects will instantly get you in the mood for pumpkin spice lattes and jumping into piles of raked up leaves.
Pumpkin Candles
For these, you’ll need four mini pumpkins and a pack of four Flameless LED Tealights. Using a sharp knife, carefully cut off the stem of each mini pumpkin and carve out a hole as wide and deep as each tealight. Switch the tealight on and pop it on top of the pumpkin. Place around a table and accent with silk fall leaves or bunches of twigs. The flameless tealights come with a natural flame flicker, providing all the ambiance of a traditional tealight with none of the danger of the flame.
Corn Candle Holders
You can use any Amazing Flameless Candle for this project, but we’d suggest the Pecan Mottled Flameless Pillar Candle. Its burnt red color is perfect for fall decor. Next, find several silk or real fall leaves and some natural twine. Use the twine to tie one leaf to each candle. There’s no threat of a fire hazard here since the Amazing Flameless Candles use LED lights that don’t get hot, and not real fire. Fill a few large hurricane candleholders about a quarter of the way with dried corn kernels—popping corn will work fine, or you can scout a farmer’s market or craft store for the multicolored Indian corn kernels. Place the flameless candle on top and turn on and off using our handy Universal Remote. Voila! Fall has arrived.
